Najma abdullahi
Volunteer coordinator
السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
Welcome to my page! I'm a senior majoring in Health Services Management here at the University of Minnesota. I began my journey in Fall 2018 as a PSEO student during my senior year of high school, and immediately fell in love with the campus environment. I was unsure of a lot at the time, but I knew I wanted to be a gopher. Fast forward my last year as a high schooler, my first real year as a college student cut short by the pandemic, and an entirely online academic year, here I am.
As AMCC's Volunteer Coordinator, I am responsible for planning and executing volunteering opportunities for the board and general body members. Through these events, I hope to serve the the UMN student body and surrounding communities.
As an immigrant and first generation college student who has greatly benefitted from people and organizations going out of their way to identify communities in need and help them, service means a lot to me. As Muhammad Ali perfectly stated, "the service you do for others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth".
I look forward to serving you all, and earning my room on earth :)
